Dr. Karen burks

Dr. Karen Burks was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She attended Auburn University in Alabama and was working toward a degree in Animal Science when she was accepted to vet school one year early. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008.

Her special interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography, radiology, and soft tissue surgery. Her travels have taken her throughout the United States, to many European countries, to Japan, and most recently to Venezuela on a veterinary relief trip. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, reading classic novels, taking road trips, and relaxing at home with her four cats.
